Broken but Healed is an organization dedicated to providing young females in the community an enriched program that will educate, encourage, and inspire them to be BOLD through outlets such as: peers, family, relationships, and the community. This organization will help, lead, and guide young females ages 7-17 to continue their education and overcome generation difficulties.

We meet once a month to participate in community service projects, educational sessions, or fundraising opportunities.  Sign up for our email list to make sure that you receive updates on all of our upcoming programs.

Our workshops are held at various locations throughout the Spartanburg area.  We do not have one specific location.  When programs are open for registration, the location of that specific program is listed on the flyer/event registration.

We make a difference with each interaction with the girls by listening to what they need, speaking with their parents, and offering opportunities where they can thrive. Additionally, it is our goal to meet with parents once a quarter, during our monthly meeting, to educate them as well to this-We make a difference each time we encounter the girls by listening to what they need, speaking with their parents, and offering opportunities where they can thrive. Additionally, it is our goal to meet with parents once a quarter, during our regularly scheduled monthly meetings, to educate them as well.

The Three Pillars of

BROKEN BUT HEALED

EDUCATE

“Educational attainment is highly correlated with income, prosperity, and good health. America’s future jobs will require ever-higher levels of skills and education, but education and job training systems are not adequately preparing blacks, Hispanics, and other workers of color to succeed in the knowledge-driven economy.” Spartanburg Racial Equity Index Report by Dr. Kathleen Brady

One of our key pillars of BBH is to make sure that all girls have access to education and are taking their education serious.  It is our hope that they have access to resources for good grades and stay in school.

EMPOWER

“A good mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” Oprah Winfrey

We, at BBH, recognize the importance of empowering girls and the impact that it has on their lives. Our goal is to connect girls with mentors in different walks of life to encourage them in their journey to adulthood.  We believe that when a young girl has a positive role model in her life she will have hope when it seems like all hope is lost.

ENCOURAGE

“Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.” Anonymous

It is our desire to encourage young girls in their homes, schools, and communities and remind them that their current situation is not their final destination.  This is completed through educational sessions on topics such as self-esteem, bullying, friendship, etc.
